1. Which version does this policy cover?
This Privacy Policy explains how Revampic, also known as Magic Effects, handles information when you use the Android application or visit its website. It describes what the app can access, why information may be used, which other companies are involved and the choices available to you.
The Android package is com.mobtopus.magiceffectsfree. This policy covers the legacy application, version 4.0.3 (version code 87), built in 2018 and published under the Mobtopus developer brand. This is the last version published on Google Play before the current rebuild.
Somnaura Ltd is the current operator of Revampic and this website. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean the current operator. This does not mean that Somnaura Ltd operated the app in 2018 or holds information collected at that time.
A replacement application is in development. We will update this policy to describe its actual data practices before release. The legacy disclosures below do not mean that the replacement uses the same advertising, account or analytics services.
For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
2. Privacy at a glance
- Your photographs: the app accesses photographs and shared storage, and can use your camera when permitted. Editing and saving use Android’s on-device functions. See photos, camera and permissions for the limits concerning third-party components.
- Advertising and analytics: the legacy version includes Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics and analytics within Adobe’s editor. These services may process device information, identifiers and app activity.
- Crash reporting: Fabric and Crashlytics provide diagnostic functionality to help identify errors and stability problems.
- Adobe accounts: the editor supports Adobe sign-in and related content services. Adobe manages its accounts independently.
- Questions or deletion requests: use the privacy request options below. Requests to us concern information under our control; we cannot directly erase independently held accounts or records.
3. Photos, camera and permissions
Photos, storage and camera
Revampic requests permission to read and write photographs and shared device storage so you can open, edit, save and share images. It also requests camera permission so you can take a photograph to edit. These are the broader storage permissions used by older Android apps, rather than access limited to individually selected photos.
You can control available permissions in Android settings. The options depend on your Android version. If you deny or revoke a permission, features that depend on it may not work.
The app’s editing and saving functions use Android’s on-device tools. No photo-upload feature operated by Revampic has been identified. Adobe’s editing components also include online account and content services, and we cannot confirm whether those components ever transferred image information. Do not assume that every feature of the older editor worked entirely offline.
Photographs can contain personal or sensitive information, including images of people and details saved in image metadata. When you choose to share a photograph through another app or service, that recipient handles the shared content under its own privacy practices.
Phone and other device information
The legacy app requests phone-state access (READ_PHONE_STATE). Localytics, a tracking component supplied with Adobe Aviary, can access telephony device identifiers on some older Android devices when permission and device settings allow it. We cannot confirm that a particular identifier was accessed or sent from any individual device.
Other permissions support internet access, checking network connectivity, background operations such as keeping the device awake, vibration, downloads and Google Play billing. Permissions also relate to Google/Firebase messaging and install attribution, which can associate an installation with its source. These permissions do not establish that messages were sent, purchases occurred or every capability was used.
The legacy app does not request dedicated location, contacts, microphone or SMS permissions. Online services may still infer an approximate location from an IP address.
4. Information the legacy app handles
Depending on the feature you use, permissions, your device, provider settings and whether older services are available, the app and its integrated providers may process these categories of information:
- Images and local files: photographs selected, captured, edited or saved using the app.
- Account information: Adobe sign-in and profile information, including names displayed in the app.
- Device and connection details: app version, device model, operating system, IP address, installation or advertising identifiers and, where supported and permitted, telephony identifiers.
- App activity: use of the camera, gallery and collage features, sessions, and interactions with advertisements.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, errors, technical device information and details about the app’s state when something goes wrong.
- Purchases and content access: account or entitlement information involved in Google Play or Adobe purchases, content downloads or restoration, where those features were used.
These categories relate to features and services included in the legacy app. They do not mean that every category was collected from every person, that Mobtopus stored it separately or that every historical service still operates today.
5. Advertising, analytics and diagnostics
Google AdMob
The legacy version integrates Google AdMob and implements interstitial advertisements. Google’s advertising services may process advertising identifiers where available, IP addresses, device and app information, ad views and interactions, and related diagnostic information. Depending on the settings in use, this may support ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and personalisation.
We cannot confirm the personalisation settings or advertising recipients for each historical user. You can manage advertising choices through available Android and Google account settings. Changing those settings does not necessarily delete previously received information or stop all advertising and diagnostic processing.
Firebase Analytics
The legacy app initialises Firebase Analytics and records information associated with use of the camera, gallery and collage features. Analytics processing can involve app activity, sessions and device or installation identifiers. This disclosure concerns the Firebase integration; it does not describe a separate standalone Google Analytics service.
Fabric and Crashlytics
The legacy app includes Fabric and Crashlytics, with Crashlytics configured to start automatically. Where the service is active, it may receive crash details, app and operating-system versions, technical device information and diagnostic identifiers to help investigate stability problems.
Related components, including Fabric Answers and Beta, are also included. Their presence does not mean that every analytics, testing or distribution feature was used, or that diagnostic information was uploaded from every device.
Localytics within Adobe Aviary
Adobe’s embedded editor includes Localytics analytics functionality for editor events, sessions and uploads. It can access some device identifiers where Android permissions and device support allow it. We cannot confirm which events or identifiers were transmitted by each historical installation.
Older services may have changed ownership or operation, or stopped operating. Naming them here explains the legacy integrations; it does not mean that each service continues to collect information today.
6. Adobe accounts, content and purchases
The legacy editor supports signing in with an Adobe ID. The app reads a signed-in person’s first and last names for display. Adobe sign-in requests permission for email, profile and address information, but this does not mean that Revampic retrieved or stored every field.
Adobe components support downloading editing assets and restoring purchased content. Google Play billing components were also included. The details processed for a transaction depend on the service used; these components do not establish that a particular purchase took place or that Mobtopus retained billing information.
An Adobe ID is an Adobe-managed account. Use Adobe’s account settings and privacy services for access, correction or deletion options. We cannot independently delete your Adobe account or guarantee deletion of information held independently by Adobe. Removing Revampic does not close that account.
If you have questions about information held directly by Revampic, contact our privacy address. External account services and apps you choose for sharing have their own terms and privacy practices.
7. Why information is used
The legacy features and providers described above support photo editing, saving and sharing, account and content access, advertising, understanding app usage and diagnosing technical problems. The information involved depends on the feature and provider, as described in the preceding sections.
Support and privacy enquiries involve your email address, your message and any details you choose to include. The purpose of that correspondence is to consider and respond to the enquiry, handle related requests and address any applicable obligations. Please include only information needed for your enquiry.
Where UK data protection law applies, our legitimate interests are helping people who contact us, resolving app enquiries and keeping a limited record for related follow-up. We rely on those interests for ordinary support and general privacy enquiries, and for limited case records where keeping them is not required by law. We process information necessary to handle statutory privacy requests and complaints, and to demonstrate compliance with those duties, to meet our legal obligations. For website processing under our control, our legitimate interests are delivering this information site and protecting its availability and security.
These bases concern the current operator’s activities. They do not establish a legal basis for historical advertising, analytics or other third-party processing. You can contact us to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
We cannot confirm the consent choices or other legal arrangements that applied to every installation of the legacy app. Providers may have their own responsibilities for information they handle. Questions about information under our control can be sent to our privacy address.
8. Who may receive information?
The legacy application includes integrations from these providers or service families:
- Adobe Creative SDK / Aviary: photo editing, Adobe authentication, content downloads and related services. Adobe Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob: advertising and its measurement. Google Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Analytics: app usage measurement. Firebase privacy information.
- Fabric / Crashlytics: crash reporting and diagnostics. Current Firebase privacy information.
- Localytics: analytics within Adobe’s editing software. Current Upland Software privacy information.
- Google Play: app distribution and purchases where relevant. Google Privacy Policy.
These links describe providers’ current practices, which may differ from their services and terms at the time of the legacy release. They do not establish how long historical records were kept or who holds them now.
Providers can receive information directly through their software. This does not necessarily mean that Mobtopus separately received or retained the same information. Advertising services may use other partners to deliver advertisements; we cannot confirm every historical recipient.
When you deliberately share an image through another app or service, it goes to the recipient you select.
10. Keeping information secure
For photos stored on your device, Android permissions and your device’s security settings provide important protections. The legacy app uses broader shared-storage permissions than newer Android apps may use. Keep your device secure, review permissions and choose carefully where you share images.
We cannot independently verify the protection of every historical third-party transfer or record. We therefore do not promise a uniform encryption method or security standard for information handled by the older services.
This static website has no photo-upload feature, account sign-in or contact form. It is intended to be served over HTTPS at https://revampic.app. This describes the intended website connection, not historical app traffic. Email enquiries use Google Workspace. Access to our correspondence is restricted and protected by sign-in controls. No method of storing or transferring information can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. How long information is kept
Photographs on your device. Originals and exported images can remain wherever you save them, including your gallery, shared storage or backups, until you or the relevant storage service remove them. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove those copies.
Information handled by historical providers. We cannot confirm how long each legacy Adobe, advertising, analytics or crash-reporting service kept information, or whether it still holds historical records. Retention can depend on the provider, account settings and applicable obligations. A service ending does not itself mean that all its records were erased.
Support correspondence. Somnaura Ltd keeps support correspondence for 12 months after the enquiry is resolved.
Privacy and deletion requests. Records of these requests are kept for 24 months after resolution, retaining only the information needed to document the request, action taken and outcome.
We review resolved correspondence monthly and delete eligible records under the company’s control when their retention period ends. The monthly review does not extend those periods. Where the law requires longer retention, we keep only the necessary records for that requirement. These periods do not prevent earlier deletion when required in response to a valid request.
Deleting correspondence from our mailboxes does not necessarily erase every provider recovery or backup copy immediately. Google Workspace’s deletion terms apply to those copies; we do not promise immediate erasure from every system.
No fixed retention period is given for historical records whose handling we cannot confirm. Questions about independently held records may also need to be directed to the relevant provider.
12. Your choices and deletion requests
You can use the following options to manage information or ask for help:
- Control permissions: review or revoke camera, storage and other available app permissions in Android settings.
- Manage local data: clear the app’s data or uninstall it. Save anything you want to keep first. Separately remove photographs, exports, shared copies and backups where needed.
- Manage advertising choices: use the privacy and advertising controls available on your device or through Google.
- Manage Adobe information: use Adobe’s account and privacy tools for information held in an Adobe ID account.
- Contact us: ask what information is under our control, request access, correction or deletion, or raise another privacy concern.
Send privacy requests to [email protected]. Describe your request and the app version, if known.
Handling a request depends on what information is actually held, who controls it and the law that applies. Reasonable information may be needed to identify relevant records and confirm that a request is authorised. Please do not send passwords, identity documents or private photographs unless a specific need is explained to you.
For rights requests covered by UK data protection law, we respond without undue delay and normally within one calendar month. Where the law permits extra time because of complexity or the number of requests, we explain the reason within the initial month; an extension can be up to two further months. Any necessary identity checks or other legally permitted timing adjustments will be explained.
You can also make a data protection complaint through our privacy address. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days, investigate and keep you informed, and explain the outcome without undue delay. A complaint does not replace or restart the deadline for a separate rights request.
Where deletion is required, we delete eligible information under our control and take the applicable steps with providers acting on our behalf. We explain any lawful retention exception or limitation. The correspondence retention periods above do not guarantee that we can locate or erase records controlled independently by another company.
We cannot directly delete Adobe accounts or independently held third-party records. You can ask about the reason for any limitation on locating or deleting information. Deleting the app or resetting an identifier does not automatically erase information previously sent to a provider.
13. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to information about processing, access your personal data, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to its use, and obtain a portable copy.
Where processing relies on consent, you may be able to withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may have a right to object. These are conditional rights; they do not mean that every provider uses the same legal basis.
Some jurisdictions provide rights concerning targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information. The legacy advertising disclosure does not determine whether a particular arrangement met a jurisdiction’s definition of sale or sharing.
Rights have conditions and exceptions. Contact our privacy address about information under our control. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
14. Children’s privacy
The legacy app is a general-purpose photo editor, not specifically designed for younger children. Its declared Google Play target audience includes ages 13–15, 16–17 and 18+. The Play Console entry reports that the app does not appeal to children.
Its content ratings include PEGI 3 and ESRB Everyone. These describe content suitability; they do not define the target audience, prove age checks are in place or establish how personal information is protected.
The declared audience includes teenagers under 18, who have additional privacy protections under UK law. The Play Console entry and content ratings do not remove those protections.
The legacy version contains advertising, analytics and external account components. We cannot confirm that the original release used age screening or child-specific privacy settings, and do not claim that those protections were present.
If you are a young person, parent or guardian concerned about information relating to someone under 18 who used Revampic, contact our privacy address. Please describe the concern without sending unnecessary sensitive information. For information held in an Adobe or Google account, you may also need to contact the relevant provider.
Young people can contact us directly. We explain requests in accessible language and check identity or a representative’s authority only as needed. A young person’s request is not automatically shared with a parent or guardian.
15. Privacy on this website
This is a static information website. Its pages contain no advertising scripts, analytics trackers, tracking pixels, embedded third-party content, user accounts or contact forms. Its fonts and images are served with the site. The site’s own code does not set cookies or store information in your browser.
Cloudflare Pages is configured as the hosting provider. When serving the site, Cloudflare processes technical connection information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs and other request details, to deliver content and protect its services. We have not enabled optional visitor analytics, tracking scripts or request-log exports. This necessary hosting processing is separate from advertising and analytics in the legacy Android app.
Cloudflare handles information on our behalf where its data-processing terms apply and has its own responsibilities for other service and security processing. Its retention depends on the information and purpose; the correspondence periods above do not apply to hosting records. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
If you email us, your email address, message and any details you include form part of that correspondence. We use Google Workspace to receive, store and send these messages, with Google acting on our behalf for the correspondence under its data-processing terms. Google also has responsibilities for service data it processes for its own purposes; see the Google Cloud Privacy Notice. Your own email provider handles delivery under its arrangements. Please include only information needed for the enquiry.
Following an external link takes you to that provider’s website. An email link opens your chosen email application; it does not submit information through this website.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we learn more about historical processing, change the website’s arrangements or publish a replacement version of Revampic. Changes will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
Descriptions of materially different practices will identify the app version they cover. Legacy disclosures will remain available while relevant and will not silently be treated as disclosures for the replacement app.
The permanent policy address is https://revampic.app/privacy.
